Phillips, Craig & Dean - When God Ran

PCD were popular early 2000’s for their smooth sounding harmonies.  Most people will remember their renditions of Heart of Worship, Here I am to Worship, and other popular worship songs.  What most people won’t remember is the song When God Ran.

This song asks a simple, yet rather unusual question..  When does God run?  As in when does God ever rush into anything?  After all, He is the all knowing, all powerful God, when would he ever be in a hurry?  

Based on the story of the prodigal son, this deeply emotional song explores and shows just how much an Almighty God loves you.  My youth student once stumbled upon this song from my Apple Music playlist.  He was taken back by the title and thought, “When God Ran?  What kind of title is that?”  By the end of the song, he was in tears.

Kudos goes to Pastors Phillips, Craig, and Dean for such a wonderful song!
